The Plight of the Second Born

Yesterday we were trying to get out of the house to go to a play date when Norah, in order of occurrence, needed: a glass of water, help reaching the goldfish crackers, clean socks, a hug after her third existential crisis of the day, her butt wiped, some milk, another hug, help rescuing the kimono lady from under the bed, and a time out for refusing to put away her water color paints.

Louis was fed and changed and happy so I just stuck him in his crib with a balloon tied to his wrist while I dealt with his sister. For like 20 minutes.

I am taking detailed notes about your experiences with 2 children. The ballon trick is going at the top of the list. Brilliant.

Hilarious! I think it would be fun to watch you put Norah in time out. You would be so serious. Norah was in one of my dreams last night! All I remember is we were somewhere with a lot of people around (most likely the family) and we walked passed each other. As we were walking passed each other I gave her knuckles. She laughed when she gave me knuckles back.
