Fifteen Months

Yes, this is very late. But rest assured, the pictures were taken on her actual 15-month birthday (with my phone--the camera batteries are dead).

Norah continues to be totally awesome. She weighs 21 lbs, 8 ozs (25%), is 32 and some inches tall (75%) and still has a gigantor head (90%). She runs, she sleeps (12+ hours a night), and finally eats (the saga of 'I only eat avocado and yogurt' is finally over and she is all about food--curried sweet potatos, scrambled eggs, and green zucchini with melted cheese are her current favs). She talks-mostly words that only I understand (she says 'kitty' a lot, but it sounds like 'titty.' Karma...I know, I know).

She gives hugs like they are going out of style and recently learned how to give kisses. It rocks my world. She's also into eskimo kisses (is that PC? You know, the thing where you rub noses?) Every morning she puts on BVZ's carpal tunnel wrist braces and we all play 'robot war.' She demands that we listen to her Charlie Bird Jazz CD 73 times a day and every time she acts like it is the greatest thing she's ever heard. We dance a lot. She demands to be read story after story after story after story, and I love it. She definitely has her favorite books and even favorite parts of her favorite books. In '10 Little Ladybugs' she speeds right by the grasshopper, but gazes lovingly at the bird and gives the duck kisses. In 'The Hungry Caterpillar' she is quite impatient with the fruit pages, but spends a considerable amount of time with the chocolate cake and watermelon page.

She loves to 'talk' on my phone and 'type' on the laptop. She carries around my purses and tries to wear BVZ's shoes. She is very demanding and gets quite bent out of shape when she doesn't get her way. She will climb up on a lap and give a big hug, only to use said lap to climb up on the couch. She is a master of emptying out drawers, boxes, and toy bins and is starting to get good at helping to clean up. She goes nuts for the playground and would spend 17 hours on the slide if we let her. Everything is a drum. She is the best person to run errands with--never fusses, just enjoys the people watching.

She knows her nose, eyes, ears, hair, mouth, teeth, belly, arm, leg, and toes. We are shocked every day by what she can understand, identify, and relate back to us. She is so much fun to be around--I am not sure what we did to get so lucky.
