Three Months Old!

Believe it or not, Norah is a quarter of a year old! She has changed so much this past month and every day becomes less blob, more little person. She has the head control of a 6 month old and is 'this' close to rolling over. She spends most of her day smiling and laughing and has recently discovered how to kick stuff with her feet. She still hates the car seat and wails like a police siren if she is in it too long. She has an entourage for the dreaded seat: the cow Pancho, the duck Duckie, and the bunny Beatrice. She is growing out of all her clothes and is just shy of 14 lbs. She won't hold still enough for me to measure her height, but based on how her clothes are fitting, I would suspect she is up inches or more. She still loves the swing, could care less about the bouncy seat, and is digging her purple chair more and more every day. She is finally getting on some semblance of a schedule and is up usually only once in those wee morning hours. She wakes up each morning with the cutest smile ever seen. She is a bit of a trickster and when she wants to be picked up sticks our her lower lip farther than one would think possible. Right before she cries she gets what Trevor calls her 'yoda face.' She now cries real tears, which will break your heart every time. She is unbelieveably alert and is fascinated by the world around her. She officially has more hair then her dad. We love her desparately.

Small Miracles

Aunt Stephanie got Norah to sleep in her crib. Like three times. Something I have been trying to do for weeks and failing miserably. Sigh.

Half Moon Bay (aka 'the most awesome day ever!')

Norah is a very lucky girl because her Aunt Stephanie and cousin Megan flew in from Austin to hang out with her. Their visit couldn't have come at a better time, as BVZ left for a three week stint in Washington DC, and I really loved having the company.

We all got up early Saturday morning, bid a tearful farewell to BVZ and let the cousins get acquainted.

We made the quick drive over the hill to Half Moon Bay to take Norah and Megan to the Moss Beach Tide Pools.

Aunt Stephanie hung out with Norah and Megan and I hit the tide pools.

We saw one giant starfish, lots of mollusks, sea cucumbers, and other various marine life. Megan loved the shells the best.

After the tide pools, we headed over to another part of the beach where Megan could put her feet in the water and play in the sand. She was totally unfazed by the freezing cold water and would have stayed there all day if we had let her. Norah wasn't as impressed and was over the whole thing in about a half hour.

Hangin' Out With My Cousin

Saturday we spent just hanging out at the house. Megan picked flowers from the backyard...

And pears from the front yard...

We all took Norah for a nice long walk, with Megan driving the stroller.

Norah was quite relaxed.

Norah got in some good snuggle time with her big cousin...

And even got a bath.

Norah loves her purple chair and likes to hang out on the counter to be a part of the action.

An awesome (and exhausting!) day.

Day in San Francisco

Megan was dying to go to the Golden Gate Bridge, and Norah was game. We drove over the bridge both ways and luckily the fog had lifted by the time we got there.

We spent the afternoon at the San Francisco Zoo. A lot of the park was shut down for renovations, so it wasn't crowded at all and the weather was nice and cool.

As a side note, Trevor sent Norah his favorite thing he no longer needs, his Bob the Builder hat. It is a little big for her now, but I am sure she'll grow into it.
